Welcome to Lithia Springs Elementary School. You will find a family atmosphere at LSES with a kind and dedicated staff that shares a commitment to provide a quality educational opportunity for your child. It is our desire at LSES for you to have a successful school year. Our mission is to teach responsibility in an environment of respect and dignity. We believe that we have the best students, and that they deserve the best teachers.

Last year, we added a much needed addition to our school.  Thirteen new classrooms were added.  The new addition now houses our self-contained and fourth/fifth grade classrooms.  The students and teachers really enjoyed having the new facilities which includes a specialized instructional suite with a full kitchen for our special needs program and a science lab.

At LSES, we welcome and celebrate diversity. We have one of the most culturally diverse student populations in Douglas County. We have also assembled a diverse staff to reflect our student body. Many languages are spoken by both the students as well as the staff. We strive to be an open and welcoming school. Parents are encouraged to volunteer in their child's classroom, become a member of the Parent Advisory Council, mentor a child in need of a positive adult role model, or assist with the school's PTA.

For the first time in many years, we had a significant change in staff.  Mrs. Golden was chosen to lead Beulah Elementary School as its new principal.  Mrs. Golden's presence and influence will certainly be missed at LSES.  We wish her the best of luck in her new position and I feel certain that she will be dropping by to visit us from time to time.  Mrs. Felicia Hall is joining us as the new assistant principal.  We are very excited to have Mrs. Hall join the LSES family.  She was a former teacher and assistant principal in Douglas County.  For the past four years, she has been teaching in Texas.  She is very excited about being a part of the LSES family and has many great ideas and talents that she will be sharing.  We also have a new counselor, media specialist, ESOL teacher, PE teacher and Records Clerk.  Each of these individuals have unique talents for which they were chosen.  When hiring staff members to join the LSES family, I always keep the needs of our students and families as the focus.

We also have new teachers joining us at each grade level.  Some are replacing teachers who retired, transferred or resigned and some are taking new positions that were created in an effort to reduce the sizes of the classes.  Our new teachers will be working to establish strong relationships with families and our returning teachers will work to strengthen relationships already in place.  I truly believe that the success of the students at LSES is due to the relationships that have been established between school and home.

We invite you to frequently visit our school website and Facebook page for information about events and meetings and to stay informed about student highlights.
