Don't forget Beanstack kickoff off is this week!

Tamekia Powell believes that perseverance is a “cornerstone characteristic to possess in order to not only survive but thrive.” “That is one of the reasons the word is posted in large letters in my classroom,” said Powell, who teaches at Burnett Elementary School and is a 15-year veteran educator. Powell earned her bachelor of science degree in early childhood education from Kennesaw State University and a master of education degree from Mercer University. She has tutored for the annual math competition, managed the summer learning program and served as a grade-level team lead. Outside the classroom, Powell loves to travel and visited many places during her service in the United States Army.

Tiger Cubs,
If your child is currently enrolled using a multi-family form. Douglas County School System policy states that multi-family forms are valid for a period of one year. All multi-family forms expired on May 22, 2024.
If you are still living/residing in a multi-family situation at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, you will need to provide the following documents:
-New multi-family form signed and notarized by the homeowner/renter and the parent/legal guardian for the property where you are living/residing.
-Mortgage Statement or Lease Rental agreement for the property where you are living/residing.
-Current utility bill (within 30 days of submitting the multi-family form) for the property where you are living/residing.
We began receiving new documents in the school’s office beginning July 15, 2024. If new documents are not received, your child will NOT be placed on a class list or scheduled for classes for the 2024-2025 school year.
The Douglas County School System reserves the right to verify residency and the authenticity of utility bills at any time. False swearing of the multi-family form and any other enrollment documents is a violation of Georgia law and is punishable by a fine or by imprisonment.
Should you have any questions, please contact the Ms. Epps-Bodrick at (770) 651-3504

Remember Sneak-A-Peek is on July 30th from 4:30pm until 6pm. 💛💙💛
